What activities should I plan for my Gilmore Girls party?
i just finished watching all 7 seasons of gilmore girls. in celebration, i’m having a little fun party with one of my friends who is obsessed with gilmore girls. what should we do/watch in order to make it a gilmore girls night?

Pop tarts

Salad from a bag (just pour some dressing in and eat it out of the bag with a fork)

If you’re over 21:
Make some daiquiris or margaritas and blast the B-52s like Lorelai did when studying for her business school final.
Be sure to either wear cute dresses and shoes or pajamas with something crazy on them (Lucille Ball, Mr. Peanut, etc.). Add in some quick and witty banter chock full of cultural references and you’ll be good to go.

What nicknames does Lorelai Gilmore use in Gilmore Girls?
Lorelai Gilmore (a character that Lauren Graham plays in Gilmore Girls) always seems to always use the right cute nicknames for people. Just wondering how many of them we could all remember cause I’ve been wanting to use some nicknames for people every once in a while. Here’s what I have so far:

stud
girly

I remember one time she called Rory her “little circus freak”
She once called Luke “hot plates”
After Rory and Dean fell asleep after the dance at Miss Patty`s, she started calling Dean “Narcolepsy Boy” (LOL my favorite)
She called Jason “Digger” (although she did not make that one up herself)

I love Gilmore Girls. I also love the font they use for the title and credits.

Parents of impressionable young teens what do you think of Gilmore Girls?
I walked in on my 12 year old daughter watching Gilmore Girls. Unfortunately at that point Lorelai and her “lust”mate of the moment, Jason were engaged in pre-marital sex. I found this extremely offensive and immediately requested my daughter turn off the show. I feel duped and betrayed that this show is advertised as a “family” event and am thinking of taking action. Anyone else in this same boat?

I agree, but unfortunately that’s the society we live in. When my children were growing up I would record the shows I wanted them to watch and let them watch them after further review. I also did not let them watch anything with a R rating and some PG’s were not allowed. If we don’t take a stand who will?
