What is the reason guys are better at video games than girls?
Visuo-spatial intelligence is higher, on the average? What could it be, truly?
I mean the neurological reason, too! (:
I’m thinking maybe the interest level is higher, thus the brain finds the information valuable and retains it more effectively (e.g. cavemen had a definite interest in aspects of survival, thus they retained that information more effectively than what color flower they saw two days earlier). This would also go hand-in-hand with the “practice, practice, practice” response. Well, if you like something, you’re bound to be drawn to it more.
What’s the possible reason? Links are greatly appreciated.

I really don’t know. I know few girls who are good at video games, and while I’m not amazing, I’ve been playing them since I knew what a Nintendo was and have gotten pretty good.
Usually when guys are talking about video games, I know exactly what they’re talking about, while girls just look confused as hell.
Also, my friends (girls) who are good have older brothers. I grew up with a dad, older sister, and older brother who played video games often. My brother and I still do. That probably has something to do with it. I also know a lot about Marvel comics, whereas others look at me strangely when I talk about them. My dad read them, and my brother read a few, too.
Usually, whatever most people of my family are into, I am, too.
I’ve wondered this for a long time, and I’m very curious to see what answers you get…

if both do the same amount of work, have the same number of friends and have the same time to go out. obviously some girls play games but not as much and not to the same level. my point is that its not 50:50

What are some good halloween games for girls 13 yrs old?
My daughter is having a Halloween themed birthday party. She wants to invite all of the girls. That’s exactly 20 13 year olds including her. What games do you think they should play? Not truth or dare, charades, spin the bottle, hide and go seek and bingo. I also want them to be Halloween-ish. If you think they’ll be able to entertain themselves tell me. Also tell me about other Halloween parties that you went to.

Well, being myself a 13 year old girl I think truth or dare, and charades would be fun. You could also have the game of charades be halloweenified same with truth or dare. Also, the girls are capable of entertaining themselves but might like some suggestions. I once read about a game called wink murderer which is kind of halloweenish. Here are some suggestions:
Wink Murderer- To play you need at least 4 players, and the number of people playing (in your case 20) cards from a deck – one must be an ace. Have the guests sit in a circle and pass out all of the cards. Have them look at the card they got, the girl who got the ace is the murderer. The murderer kills a victim by winking at them. The person who was winked at acts out a dramatic death (ex: pretend they suffocated/choked and fall over or just scream dramatically) and they are out, just be sure the other players know that this girl is out. The murderer wins if they kill everyone. They lose is another player accuses them of being the murderer.
Halloween Charades- you can simply just make the cards/slips of paper some thing to do with halloween. (ex: murderer, pumpkin, spider) This is also the same with truth or dare (ex: I dare you to act out a dramatic death with one other girl here. Or Have you ever killed someone?)
TP mummy: warning: this one requires a lot oftoilett paper but its super fun! Have the girls get into pairs. Have them decide which one is going to be the mummy and which one is going to be theembalmerr. Give theembalmerr one roll of TP an give them 2 min to rap their mummy. Once the 2 min is up have them stop and decide which mummy is the best. (this is really fun, I know this because I did this once at a halloween party and everyone had a great time!)
Flashlight Tag: Its just like tag but when you get tagged its with a flashlight.
