I think the odd names are normally given to boys whereas the odd spellings are usually given to girls.

For example, odd boys names like:

Girls names that are trendy are commonly BOYS names used for a girl, and spelled in a different (normally ridiculous) way to make it appear “feminine:

Super Mario Galaxy is probably the best Wii game made to date and can be enjoyed by EVERYONE.

Your girls might enjoy DDR–”Dance, Dance Revolution!” You need to pay an extra $19.95 for the dance mat that is either sold separately or bundled with it, but it’s a really fun aerobic workout! It’s a video arcade favorite and mine as well!

They might also enjoy “Dancing with the Stars” which you dance to songs from the show using your hands instead of your hands instead of your feet. (I enjoy the music and dance steps of “DDR” far more though, and find it more challenging. However if they enjoyed the show, they may prefer “Dancing with the Stars.”

They might enjoy singing along karioke style to “High School Musical” which is very popular with teenage girls right now, or “Boogie” where you sing and design dance steps for the characters on the screen.

They might also enjoy some party games to play with their friends–for that age group I’d recommend “Warioware: Smooth Moves” or “Raving Rabbids” (the first one, not the sequel which isn’t as good) as opposed to “Mario Party 8″ which can be played by the entire family, but is geared more to a younger age group.

A good educational party game is also “Big Brain Academy”, which can be played with up to 8 players.

There’s also a Wii version of the Cranium game “Kabookie”, which is another good party game.

Well when I was eleven I liked playing hide and go seek, freeze tag, regular tag, lava (where you can only step on branches, twigs, and not on the ground per se. It was fun!), I loved making and setting up a picnic outside. There is a lot of stuff eleven year olds can do outside to occupy themselves, but those were the funniest to me.
